5. Lean Innovation

Lean Innovation enables organisations to look forward to the future, speeding the development of new or improved processes, products, services and/or experiences in the most efficient way. To accomplish this, a new mindset is required, enabling employees to learn, unlearn, experiment, prototype and iterate. This process will lead to the creation of a minimum viable product to gather user feedback and pivot before its launch.

During this session we will also reflect how ambidextrous organisations operate, exploiting the present and exploring the future and the relevance of developing collaborative ecosystems to accelerate innovation. To conclude, participants will gain insights from successful cases from various industries and the Lean Diamonds, inspiring them with their lean innovation best practices.

During this masterclass participants will: 

• Understand and differentiate key terms: innovation, lean innovation, open innovation, regenerative innovation and collaborative ecosystems.
• Get to know the ISO 56002:2019 standard as a guideline to manage the innovation process. 
• Reflect about the application and impact of lean thinking in the innovation process and the importance of creating a Minimum Viable product and pivot before its launch.
• Identify key skills required to develop a lean innovation culture and learn different lean innovation approaches such as Design Thinking, Lean Startup and Agile. 
• Discover the relevance of Business Model Innovation to leverage changing customer demands and expectations to drive business growth.
• Reflect about the benefits, challenges and risks of applying Generative AI to accelerate innovation
• Gain valuable insights from the Lean Diamonds: Mattei Group, Interface, Jaguar Land Rover and Atlas Copco.
